Microsoft has encountered an Error -

I have a small application database that takes an extract from an AS-400,
massages the data slightly, and then generates two reports; one for matched
records and one for non-matched records. The queries that run the reports
work fine and the correct data is showing. When I try to run the matched
report, I get the infamous Microsoft has encountered an Error and must close.
I have tried compacting- no help, building a new database, no help,
reloading the original database, no help. It is has been running fine for
about 4 months, then when I try to run using updated data it pukes only on
the matched report. If I try to run using last months data - no problem.
Reload this month's data and it pukes. I am rapidly running out of ideas.
Ideas left - rewrite the matched report? HELP!!

This seems to be a data problem more than a code problem, so your last
suggestion would not help.
* Run it on another computer.
* Make sure your computer is fully patched, and try again.
* Try to find the bad data.

Tom,

Thank you for your response.
I, too, thought it was data but wrote the report very quickly, and ran it.
It Worked! So now I am finishing the report in a test database and am going
to import it into the production area after I am finished and see what
happens. While I was re-writing it, I found some fields I was importing that
were not being used and eliminated them. Maybe too many fields? I don't
know but moving ahead slowly.
