Microsoft AntiSpyware - New user

I returned from holiday after Christmas to discover that my Giant AntiSpyware
subscription had expired and that Microsoft had taken over. I uninstalled
Giant and installed Microsoft. However, I was not asked for any payment.
Whilst my new Spyware appears to carry out a scan it has so far not
discovered any threats - my old version used to identify 5 or 6 low threats
per day. I am concerned that it might not be working properly. Any
suggestions please?

Hi Byrney,
First, Microsoft Anti Spyware is free and at the present time unless they
change policy will always be free.
Second, MSAS doesn't check for Cookies which is probably what Giant searched
for. As cookies contain no code they are not currently not recognized in
this beta release--Maybe in Beta2.
Hope this explains things.

There are many differences (generally features removed) between Microsoft's
beta product and Giant's products. However, it is, and will
remain--available without additional cost to licensed Windows users.
