Messenger Upgrade

Dear Microsoft,
MSN Messenger indicated that the new version (6.0) was
required on my system. I had 5.0 and I downloaded the
upgrade to 6.0 . I verified by clicking the About
Messenger. It shows that I now have version 6.0
installed. However, the warning pop-ups continue to show
up all the time. I recheck About Messenger and it does
have version installed. Why? And how do I get rid of the
warning pop-ups? Thank you,
Bob Bowser

Dear Group,
Do you reply to our questions or is it just something
I do to see my name on your roster? I saw that my name is
posted showing that my e-mail was received. But I haven't
discovered a method to find your reply. No message in my
e-mail. What now? Do I just pretend that you answered me?

Greetings Bob,

This is peer-to-peer support, not Microsoft. I've replied to your post on 9/13, here it is
for reference:

Actually Windows Messenger is what's giving you this message -- you installed MSN Messenger
6, which is a separate program to Windows Messenger. To correct this, install the latest
version of Windows Messenger here:
