Messages containing voting buttons being deleted after opening

Hello

Using Outlook 2002 SP-2 on Windows 2000 V5 SP-3 on an MS Exchange Server.

I often send messages to a group of people with voting buttons. People
reply using the voting buttons. I've recently noticed that, after I have
opened and read the reply, the reply is deleted from my Inbox upon closing.
This happens in the majority of cases, but strangely does not happen if I
have just deleted another message before opening the reply.

I can't fathom this out and it looks like a strange bug. This has only been
occurring recently, although I'm not aware of any changes to our email
system, unless changes to the Exchange server would affect this. (I don't
know if any changes have been made to the Exchange server but it is a
possibility).

I would appreciate any advice on this problem.

Sounds like you have Outlook set up to delete responses after processing --
Tools | Options | Email Options | Tracking Options.
