Messages being marked as "read" when they're not.

Using Outlook 2000 with an NT server at work, suddenly today any messages in
my in-box get marked as "Read" even when they're not in the preview pane.
I've always had messages set to be marked as read after viewing in the
preview pane, but suddenly today, they're all being marked "read" while just
in the in-box.

Why is this?

I found the reason myself, although still not sure why it happens. I
sometimes check my work mail from home before coming to work (using the pop3
account) and yesterday I inadvertantly left Outlook open all day at home, so
every message I rec'd at work was also rec'd at home. For some reason Outlook
assumes that because its been rec'd by a pop3 server, that its been read. I
made sure I closed Outlook at home this morning, and all's normal at work.
