message when I shut down my compuer

I have 2 accounts set up on my computer, one for me and one for my wife. My
wife rarely, if ever, logs into hers but whenever I shut down or restart my
computer, I get a message saying there are others logged in and they may lose
their information if I continue. If I'm the only one logged in why would I be
getting this message?

BTW, I'm running XP home edition with service pack 2.

Does it say "others are logged in" or does it say "others may be logged
in"? s
