Message text for users attempting to log on

We currently have 2 domains, and switching to just 1 domain.

I'm attempting to create a message for all users to see when attempting to
log on. I've created the message, which works fine, on the domain that is
going to be collapsed. The problem is that the message does not appear
completely on the new domain. I remeber someone telling me that it's just a
buffer setting that needs to be changed, but I'm not sure where.

Has anyone else on this forum ran into this, and if so, how did you fix it.

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

Are you talking about policy Computer Configuration\Windows
Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\"Interactive
logon: Message text for users attempting to log on"

If so, then there is a hard-coded limit on the message size which is not
configurable. On Windows 2000 it is 512 characters, on Windows XP and above
it was increased to 4K.
