message rules

I am having a problem in getting junk e-mails to automatically be put in the
junk folder. I set up the rules, receive junk and the messages go to the junk
folder.

The next time I open windows mail and receive messages - all mail including
junk goes to my inbox. When I check message rules the specified folder is
highlighted RED and I have to specify the junk folder again. It is as if
windows mail is not remembering the settings.

Please help.

Perhaps you are running a third party security program that is preventing
writes to the registry. Uninstall any suspect security program one at a
time, then test Windows Mail to see if the message rules will save.

It turns out to be a problem with Kasperky 7.0

Uninstalled and gone to nod32 and the problems have gone

Interesting. This is the first we have heard of Kaspersky misbehaving.
Thanks for your feedback.
