Message could not be sent

When trying to send an email I received an alert saying
"The message could not be sent. An error has occured."
The message in the email disappeared and now shows
"Message could not be displayed. Windows Mail encountered an unexpected
problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or
low disk space and try again."
I have cleaned out my emails and there was nothing attached to the email,
but ever since this, I have not be able to delete the email or send an email
from that address, but I am able to receive emails to that address.
Please let me know how I can get ride of the email and start using that
address again.
Thank you,

Open the Outbox folder and see if it has any stuck messages.
Move as many of those messages as you can to he Drafts folder.
If any won't move or can't be deleted, apply this Microsoft fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

Although that article only mentions Outbox, it works for all mail folders.
