"Message could not be displayed."

I received an email from a friend which stated that "Message could not be
displayed." Don't know why, but I then tried to Delete it. It got sent to
my Outbox folder, where, when trying to delete it, it won't. Message reads
"An unknown error has occurred." Am I stuck with this thing forever?
