Merging OS and SP2 on new CD

I have my original WinXP CD and SP2 burned on a 2nd CD.

I installed NLite with the intention of merging SP2 and the OS
to then create a fully working CD. All data was then placed on
a directory of my choice and then using Nero I created a new CD.
The only problem is that this new CD will not boot to enable
OS installation. Clearly I must have done something wrong.
New CD works fine in all other respects.

Would appreciate some advice

I used AutoStreamer to slipsteam my original XP CD with SP2 and I remember
having to copy the boot files from the original CD to the new CD so it would
be bootable. (I used Roxio to as my burning software.)

Could be that is the step you omitted.
