meeting requests disappear

Using exchange 2k with sp3 and outlook 2000
workgroup/corporate. Manager and delegate send
invitations or meeting requests to several recipients.
Recipients respond with acceptance. Hours or sometimes
days later, the original meeting request disappears from
the manager or delegates calendar. The same meeting
request stays in recipient calendars.
Can anyone explain why meeting requests disappear from
manager and delegates calendar? Both state that they have
not deleted them. Thank you.

We have a similar issue--it is various recipients that have their
meetings disappear after a few days, weeks. The name usually is still
is on the original Organizer's request. I did read a post that
mentioned "6 or more meetings during a day...". That isn't always
consistant. Most instances have delegates involved, but not all the
time.

This has become a priority issue since it affects many high profile
users on the network. Any help is appreciated.
