Media Device Still doesnt work.

I know how to plug in my speakers, dont insult my intelligence. Ive tryed
system restore but it just doesnt do any thing even if I set it to months
before, how do I get windows media device back with a a cd? I think I have
windows xp cd, also I have a e machine

Byte was not insulting your intelligence. You'd be surprised how many people
plug their speakers into the wrong socket .... ! What is an e machine ?

Try re-installing your sound card drivers (XP specific, download the most
recent ones from the manufacturer's website).
