ME vs Win 2000 Professional

What is the most widely recommended operating system for use on a PC Running the Adobe Graphics products i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, InDesign. Was working just fine in ME, added OUTLOOK and began running short on system resources and memory. Advised to switch operating systems, loaded Windows 2000 Pro and have had nothing but problems!! Huge delay switching from program to program. 2000 won't recognize any of my printer drivers as being PostScript, screen freezes, etc. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

Hardware could account for this. W2k requires much better hardware than
ME can get along with.

And if you upgraded ME and miraculously wound up with a W2k that runs at
all, you can bet it's a really corrupt W2k. That path is not
upgradeable; ME was released after W2k, so of course W2k has not the
foggiest idea what it's looking at when it attempts to adapt chunks of
ME for its own purposes. Module names may be familiar...but the
resemblance stops there.

Normally there shouldn't be any problem running those apps with W2k.

You need to update your pc hardware drivers to W2K drivers. Windows me
drivers are not compatible.
