MCI error

Please help. I have been creating PP shows for a couple of years without
any problems and suddenly when I try to add a sound file (MP3) that plays
quite happily in Windows media etc I get a message saying the file cannot be
played on the specified MCI device and the file may be corrupt, not the
correct format or no fil. I have Office on two other computers and they
happily play the files. I cannot find any reference to MCI devices in PP.
