Hi all !

There is a Windows XP Home box.
When I try to intall McAffe VirusScan 7.1, I get a message :

"Error 1920.service Framework failed to start. Verify that you
have sufficient privileges to start system services."

I have administrator rights.

Hi,

The error is specific to Netwrok Associates programming, you should be
contacting them with this issue with their software. System services can
only be started by a user with sufficient priviledges, you should be logged
on as administrator when installing something as system intensive as an
antivirus program.

You might need to remove any previous McAfee software.
As the other answer says, call McAfee (and don't say you
bought MacKaffe). ;-)

Hi !

The trouble is that I can not log on as administrator, because this
account is restricted by Windows XP HOME Edition.

XP Home limits access to the users accounts unless you are
an administrator. Limited users need to get the system
administrator to change their account status. When you
steal a computer this password protection is designed to
keep you out of the guts of the hard drive.

XP Pro also does the same thing.
