This is not perhaps directly XP Pro related but I am hoping that there is
maybe someone out there that can help.
I have just installed a slave drive (Maxtor 30Gb - formatted correctly). It
has been a slave before on another machine with no problems. The jumpers are
set correctly - checked and double checked. The thing is that when I boot up
it whips me at lighting speed into XP Pro. I have tried to get into BIOS by
hitting all sorts of F keys but straight into Windows it goes. I don't even
get the 'setup' option Sometimes the drive is there, more often than not it
isn't.
All I really want is the chance to get into option screen and see it if the
slave drive can be auto-recognised.
Any help gratefully received
TIA
