MAS and Spybot

I installed MAS on a 6 month old laptop running XP. I
tried downloads and it said none were available. Then I
ran it. It found no viruses.

Then I ran Spybot -- S&D. It found
DoubleClick
Advertising.Com
Avenue A, Inc.
CoreMetrics
MediaPlex

How come?

This does not detect viruses.

The items you listed are most likely cookies, which are not spyware.
