[Ford Frfame]

I am running an oem version of Win XP Home edition. I am
unable to access "Help and Support" on my start menu
and "System Restore". In both cases I get the following
error message - "marscore.dll not found". I spent an
hour and one half with a tech from the oem vender, who
finally told me to call Microsoft, there was nothing more
he could do. Can anyone out there help?

Stupidhead. He isnt! He said to do Start Run sfc \scannow which verifies
that Windows Protected Files are intact. I ran the programme, it closed
without a message.So unthinking I checked Help and Support for more info...
and got straight through!
