Mark as Read

Anyone: How do you set outlook so that it will only "mark as read" when you
actually open the email? Currently as soon as I click on the email it marks
it as read unless I turn off the preview pane.

There should be settings for that here: Tools menu > Options > Other tab >
Click Reading Pane
