Many timeouts with Outlook 2007, now I can't receive but still sen

I can send and even receive sometimes. Many timeouts on receive that tells
me to contact my ISP. Sometimes I receive more than 1 message as 1 message.
I get messages with no header information (no subject, from or address sent
to).

For a while I was able to just tell it to receive again and it would get a
few more messages. It got to where it would only timeout and I deleted and
reinstalled my accounts (manual as the auto has never worked).

Now I can still send but receive only gets timeouts. I can still get e-mail
on my old system but I can't get the ones messed up by this Outlook!!!

Try increasing the server timeout in the account properties for that
account.

I increased the timeout without any improvement. I finally shutdown my
antivirus e-mail scanning and guess what... no more problem. I'm in the
process of getting a different antivirus program. In case anyone is
interested i had just purchased System Mechanic Pro 7 from IOLO so you now
know just what I think of their Pro!
