major problem? No idea.

This morning, I was doing five things at once, when a pop up appeared that
said windows had made some upgrades and the computer would reboot or I could
delay. Not looking I delayed. Every 5 minutes,the pop up reappeared.
Everytime, I delayed. I walked away and when I came back, the computer was
in the middle of rebooting. An hour later, it ws still spinning in the reboot
phase. Did I get a virus or spam?

I am now in safe mode, but I have no idea what to do to get it to work
again. Any suggestions.

Seeing as how you are in Safe Mode, do a System Restore.

Click Start >Programs >Accessories >System Tools > System Restore > take it
back in time to before the problem.

Also, disable Norton before doing SR, if using Norton.
