Dear Group,

I have a weird one for you. My virus protection software
alerted me to a possible virus, yet upon scanning my
system I found none. After this occurred, I now have a
new menu on my internet explorer bar called "Main Links".
Thinking this was a spy, I use my spy removal software,
yet it turned up no spies. I don't see any od looking
programs in my list of installed programs. I am at my
wits end.

The new menu (once again, called Main Links) provides me
with a list of advertisements.

Does anyone have any ideas? Please email me asap. Thanks.

OK, after I posted the message below, I performed the following, and it
appears to have removed it:
I first went into add/remove programs, and uninstalled the program
"WindowsSA"
Then, I disabled the process that was still running called ""omniscient.exe"
in my task manager.
Then, I deleted all the files in the folder "c:\windows\program
files\WindowsSA"
this seems to have resolved the problem. I will keep you posted.

let me know your thoughts.
