mailto fails

I have in IE6 set the Email Client to Microsoft Office Outlook. WHen I
click a mailto link it does not work. I get a message that it cannot
find the object. If I change the program to handle this to another
such as Forte Agent all works well. What is happening here? I am
running Outlook 2003 and XP-Pro.

I posted there too as was not sure if this is Outlook Problem
(Probably NOT) or XP problem, more likely., No response form either
yet.

I did a reinstall/repair of Office and it still does not work. I get
an error message that it cannot start outlook, object cannot be
found?????
Obviously, Outlook is there as I use it all of the time???
The mailto link works on my other machine!
