MailMessage appears as post instead of email message

Hi,

I have an application that's sending emails to various public
outlook folders from a web server. We have Outlook 2002 clients &
Exchange server. The problem is that all the
messages appear in the folder as a "post" with the thumbtack icon.
However, when I send a test email from my outlook client to the same
folder, it
appears as an email message. When I send a test email from my Yahoo
account, it appears as a "post" message.

Why is this happening? I need the emails to show up as emails, because
I have an outlook add-in that will only operate on emails, not on
posts.

This is a known issue with Exchange 2000, but there is a hotfix. See
