MailMerge Access 2003/Word 2003

I have a mailmerge document in Word 2003. My access
program automates a mail merge process and prints the
documents. Everything works fine if the datasource for
the Word document does not change. But, if it changes,
then when automated via Access the document is displayed
and the user must answer a prompt and then close the
document manually. Since we are merge a few thousand
letters at a time, this is not acceptable. How can the
datasource of the Word document be updated, saved, then
allowed to be merged, printed, then closed without user
intervention. Thanks.

You don't mention what kind of prompt (it would have *REALLY* helped here!).

However, if you are talking about the datasouce (sql) warning prompt, then a
good workaround is to actually SET the datasouce each time the document is
loaded. If you do that, then the prompt should be avoided.

I have a working sample code that runs fine for a97, a2000, a2002, and
a2003.

Check out the working sample..and try merging ONE record to a word doc. You
should not see any prompts.

Also, PLEASE read the notes on the web site on how to make a very reliable
access to word merge.
