mailbox locked by another server

hi,
I have microsoft outlook 2003 now and im trying to use this to recieve my
emails instead of my normal tiscali inbox. but an error is occuring saying
"mailbox locked by another server". I am a bit of a novice and would
appreciate a little basic help

What kind of mailbox is it? Exchange? POP3? IMAP? What protocol are you
using to access this mailbox?

Hi Ben,

Yeah it is a pop3 account and whenever i try to test settings an error
occurs in my recieving mailbox.......any ideas????????

Contact the folks that run the mail server and report the issue. They will
have to clear the lock on the mailbox. (The message just means that
something is changing in the mailbox and it isn't going to let anything else
come in until that change is complete. Until that lock is cleared, you
can't retrieve email.)
