mail disappears

When I Receive mail using Outlook 2000, mail in the inbox
disappears. This happens when I read a message and go the
the next one. The first message disappears. It also
disappears when I go to another folder and return to the
in box. I cant find it anywhere, and have gone back
through all the preferences and can't find any stttings
the wouls affect this. I hava also used detect and repait
to no avail. Where iis mmy mail and how can I stop this
disappearance act?

Could you be filtering to where you see new mesages only? Had a user
complain of same symptoms and that was the cause in his case.
