Mail clarification please

I'm still learning as I go so just wanted to clarify .........
In regard to outlook express, as I understand we can only use it with xp and
not with any of vista.
I would then need to switch to xp prof if I wanted to use outlook
express -is this correct?
How do I send mail from the wireless laptop with vista win mail if I do
continue to use vista ?
What program would I need to fix the problem of sending email using a yahoo
or hotmail Google account - without having to send via webpage.
Do I have to load live mail?
Are there any other solutions, or changes I could make? I have wireless
internet, but not email account with the wireless server.

Yes. Or you could install Virtual PC 2007 on Vista, install XP on that,
and use OE.

You need to configure Windows Mail, or better yet, Windows Live Mail to
access your email account.
It's the same way if you were using OE.

It depends... if you have a Premium Yahoo account, with access to POP email,
then you can use either WM or WLM. There is no such thing as a Hotmail
Google account. WM cannot access Hotmail. WM can access Google Gmail, if
you turn on the POP access on their website.

If you need to access Hotmail, yes. It's a better program, so I would
recommend it.

NO, you are wrong.. You can use (OE) Windows Mail with Vista after you set it up to your ISP mail options.
Go into Tool..<-- Accounts and set up the Information that you have to get from your ISP Web Site.

That's INCORRECT..

Same as above, set up your ISP account information.. You'll have to setup the POP3 info and the SMTP Info. Some ISP also change the default value of Port#.
BUT your ISP provides that information to you, check your ISP Web Page..

OR what you could do .. is boot into XP and check the Settings there, writing them down,, then boot back into Vista and add those settings to your Windows Mail.. (OE)
