Macromedia Flash Transparency in Powerpoint with WMode Transparent

Using the "More Controls" button, I inserted a "Shockwave Flash Object" into
my PowerPoint 2003 document, and in its properties I set "WMode" to
"Transparent". This does not work as it does in Microsoft Internet Explorer
6. How can I make the Flash object's background transparent? Should I use
"Shockwave ActiveX Control" instead of the "Shockwave Flash Object"?

Unfortunately you can't. WMODE is an HTML tag that is not supported in
PowerPoint.
You'd have to put your background on the animation in Flash.

Does anyone have a copy of Macromedia Director that is willing to convert
three files (FLA/SWF) into director files for me, so I can use the Shockwave
ActiveX object instead, which supports transparency much better? I can email
the files out.
