New Powerpoint 2007 Update disables Flash

My Vista laptop just automatically downloaded the new MS Office 07 updates.
Ever since, my embedded flash objects in powerpoint no longer work. In fact,
if I want to insert a new macromedia flash control I can't! That option is
no longer available under the developer tab > more > controls > shockwave
flash.

Has anyone else observed this problem, and is there a work around?

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply John,

I may have over reacted a little, although I was still left in the dark as
to why flash stopped working in the first place. Since your flash was still
working, I knew there had to be a problem on my end.

Here is the solution I found:
Somehow the shockwave plugin was unregistered in powerpoint, but all other
shockwave players still worked in other MS applications, such as IE,
frontpage, etc. To re-register you must install the flash plugin from Adobe
-> but this is a problem becuase IE still has the flash player installed. To
correct it, download a stand along executable and install. Once installed,
shockwave will still not be registered in powerpoint until you start up IE to
finish the install of the flash activeX control. Once registered in IE, full
functionality was restored in PPT.

A bit fustrating that MS applications are so interwoven without proper
reports for errors, but none the less it works again.
