macro for enabling and disabling rules

hello,
is it possible to enable and disable a rule in outlook by macro?
i have a rule which forewards my internal emails to an external adress when
i'm not available, but i have to enable and disable it myself.
my idea is do disable the rule by macro when outlook opens and enable it
when outlook is closed. is that possible?

What version of Outlook? It's not possible before Outlook 2007, it is
possible in that version only.

It's unfortunately Outlook 2003, so no chance?
