lsass & llssrv max CPU at 100%

Upon startup of my server, lsass & llssrv max out CPU at 100% for about
20-45 min. This server is 2000, PDC. Afterwards, it operates normally. No
viruses or worms, all patches & SPs applied.

that seems a bit funny to me....
try using Sandra to find out if there is a problem in your system
did you try viewing your system device?
are all your devices working properly?

try also looking at your windows task manager / process /and see what exe
programs
are running apart from the known ones.

if you note something extrange or an unusual file using huge amounts of
memory find where this file belongs to and chek if belong to a device.then
try installing your device again with the lates drivers.
