I've been getting a similar message on my Dell Laptop. "LSASS.exe terminated unexpectedly with status code 1073741676" then it give me a minute and it re-starts. Let me know if you figure this out (e-mail address removed)

coincidentally, I not only had the lsass.exe shut down my pc, but it did it while I was installing an microsoft service pack. Now I can't boot windows xp. I tried starting in safe mode, but it still shuts down before it ever completes the boot process, and then, aggravatingly enough, it seems caught in a cycle of shut down restart. If you folks get a clue about this, please post it here

Thanks
