low disc space

I have had the message come lately saying low disc space I have currently
892mb of 40GB hard drive free space left. I have removed personal files which
are quite big from the hard drive but this hasn't made much difference. I
have done the ususal of defraging and removing cookies and temporary internet
files etc.

Is there any other way of getting back some free space I have also
uninstalled programs that I don't need but even that hasn't really worked.

I have only recently had the problem since installing adobe CS2 and
uninstalling due to lackof space. There was stange thing that when I went to
add/remove programs it said that it was never installed yet it was is there
anyway of knowing if there are bits of CS2 left on the hard drive hidden
somewhere taking up space?

Run Diskcleanup, More options, System Resore; cleanup, you will get another 4
gig free space aprox
