I have a partitioned drive. One of the partitions has *ONLY* 22Mb of space
left on it.

As a result, XP Pro will prompt me every few minutes with a pop up bubble
from the task bar, that says "you are running low on disc space on <drive>,
click here to clean up disc

I damn well know how much space is available, and there's nothing to clean
up, but it still continues to prompt me every 5 minutes.

Is there a way to turn this warning off?

Thanks

Brett

Warnings happen for a reason, and to turn them off is not smart.. a
partition as full as yours is an accident waiting for a time and place to
happen.. either move files off of it to another partition, or maybe turn off
System Restore monitoring to that partition..

Not so much the warning I don't think, it's the frequency of the warnings
that get annoying.

I generally have ballon tips turned off, and when I see the exclamation mark
I check event viewer.

Disable Low Disk Space Message (Line 65)

Or...

TweakUI/Taskbar/Uncheck Warn when low on disk space
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Note: This will turn off the Low Diskspace warning on all your drives!

To manually disable the low diskspace notification: Go to:

Start/Run/Regedit: Navigate to...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Policies\Explorer

In the right pane, create a new DWORD Value. Name the new value:
NoLowDiskSpaceChecks. Set the value to 1. Exit/Logoff or Reboot.

Note: This will turn off the Low Diskspace warning on all your drives!
