Lost taskbar in Windows 2000 SP2

Urs

While playing 'pinball' in full screen mode, the computer
crashed (blue screen) and afterwards the taskbar and the
startup menue were lost.

Neither restart nor pressing the 'start menue' key on the
keyboard brought back the taskbar.

If I create a new user then taskbar and start menue are
there again.

Does somebody know how to bring back the taskbar and the
start menue?

Thanks for your help.

Your profile might be corrupted. Try this:
- Log on as a different user.
- Rename "c:\documents and settings\urs" to something else.
- Log on under your normal account. A new profile will be created.

Thanks Pegasus,

I tried and at least the taskbar and start menu came back,
but I have then to reinitialize all other software and
thats a lot of work.
Is there no other way to bring them back?
