Lost Pictures from CD

After re booting my PC, I cannot get the PC to find any
Pics on my holiday pic CD. It says that there is nothing
on it. However it is NOT a re writable CD and so it would
be impossible to loos the pics off the CD. On a friends
PC ( WIN 98) they show up 100%. Is there something
missing on my pc since re boot , or settings that I ned
to adjust? ANY help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks in advace KD

Was this CD created on your PC? Was the
CD viewable before the reboot? Reboot is
simply another word for restart is that what
you mean or did you do a system restore?

Does the following info offer anything useful:

(321640) CD-ROM Drive May Not Be Able
to Read a UDF-Formatted Disc in Windows XP

Free...Adaptec UDF Reader Driver 5.1.1.213

.
My mistake, it was a system restore ( due to virus ) The
CD was created on my PC from digital camera and was
readable before system restore. I don't have the CD at
the moment, as work collegue is trying to make a fresh
copy to a new CD to see if that helps, so theres not a
lot I can do without CD (he's on holiday for a week or so)
However my thnking is that a new copy won't work, if the
old one isn't, so hence I'm trying to get any ideas as to
what may need doing on my PC. Thanks
