Lost photos please help

Hi

I am desparately hoping someone on here can help me. I have been using my
digital camera to take all of my photos. Once the memory card is full I have
been saving them onto the computer and then saving them onto disk. Once I
had saved them on to disk I hve deleted them from the memory card and
computer. Today I have just put some more photos onto disk which filled it
up. When it finished saving I went to look at the disk to make sure the new
photos were on there ok only to find that the computer cannot see any of the
photos on there. What can I do? I had thousands of photos on there that I
don't have saved anywhere else. Have I really lost all these photos for
ever? Please please someone help.

Doesn't saveing the photos "onto the computer" merely mean saving them to
disk? Perhaps you have deleted them by mistake.
In any case, you can't save anything "onto the computer"; you can only save
files to disk.

I did the same thing, i tried to add other folders full of photo's onto a
disc that already had loads of photo's on, and in doing so it wiped all the
photo's off the previous photo's, no idea where i am going wrong, has anyone
helped you?
