My computer (windows xp Professionl) has lost my
password, and the computer will not start.
I do not actually use a password, I just click enter when
the system asks for a password. Tbe same is true for the
administration account. Norton antivirus pickup up a worm
called backdoor.jeem today. I ran a full system scan using
Norton and it could not locate the file. At the Norton web
site it told me to turn off the tracking for "
Recovery to last known good version." In the control panel
I found the correct check box and turned this function off
(I do not remember the exact name of the function). Next,
I needed to reboot the computer and now I cannot open XP.
I have tried every Safe Mode combination, and XP recovery
with no luck.
I need a solution to this problem - please advise if
possible.
