lost folder, or deleted files and how to recover

i was working on my desktop,and i draged a file to the recycle bin,when i
deleted it another file that was on my desktop disapeared. now i cant find
that file anywhere on thecomputer, and was wondering is there a way that i
can recover files that were deleted through the recycle bin, in case that
file was placed in there by mistake. iam running windows xp professional. any
help would be greatly appreciated!

Simply restore the file from the Recycle Bin. Assuming, of course, you did
not delete the contents of the Recycle Bin.
