lost changed data after saved excel workbook

i create an excel file. Ä° chaged data in it ,after save the changes, i reopen
it and i found file that i had lost my last saved data.

i use "save" option not "save as".

problem doent occur for every save. sometimes it works properly,sometimes i
found my changes disappeared.
Is excel version important, i mean if i open an excel workbook created by
diffrent version of excel;is it possible this kind of lost?


i open an excel workbook, i made changes on it , i saved i and close. and
the following day , i found it my changes diappeared.

I suggest that you use Windows Explorer to search for *.xls files saved over
the past however many days are relevant. Make sure that you allow the
search to cover the whole of whichever disks are available on your machine.
Are you on a network?

Edits, if they've been saved, don't just disappear.
