I lost my C-drive after trying to upgrade to Windows Vista, so I went back to
XP and restored backup files. Now, after reloading software, I get an error
message every time I start the computer: "The application has failed to start
because NISRES.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the applicaiton may fix this
problem." However, I don't know what the application is! In addition, I get
another message that flashes too quickly to read when I shut down. Finally,
I installed iTunes and I am unable to start that program. I tried
uninstalling it and cleaning the computer of all of its files, but it still
will not start. I get a message that the program encountered problems and I
notify Microsoft, but that's the end of the communication. I would
appreciate any help anyone can provide. This is very frustrating and I've
spent days on it! Thank you!
