Ed B.
I recently reinstalled Windows XP Pro on my PC and have had strange
problems ever since.
I lose my internet connection about once a day and I have to reboot to
get it back. I've done an ipconfig /all before and after I lose my
connection, and nothing has changed. I still have an IP address, but
a /release /renew doesn't fix it. I did notice that when doing an
ipconfig it shows Node Type as Unknown.
Also, when I try to connect to a share on this machine, I get the
following message on the machine I'm trying to connect from: "Not
enough server storage is available to process this command."
Lastly Windows Explorer is incredibly slow when I try to scroll
through the files in a folder that contains more than a couple hundred
files.
This is a 2 Ghz machine and XP has all the latest patches. I have also
tried different ports on my router, and this machine worked fine
before the reinstall.
Thanks,
Ed
