Hi, I have a Belkin Pre-N Router with Belkin desktop adapters. One computer
is working just fine, never loses its connection. The other computer is
losing connectivity, at the computer, while the network overall is just fine.
Why is one doing fine and yet the ohter is having this problem? I have to
keep clicking "repair" on the shortcut menu on the notification icon for that
connection and it goes through its disabling of adapter, re-enabling adapter,
assigning IP address etc, and then it works again just fine for another
period of time. I have a hardware firewall in the Router, Panda Internet
Security Suite, WPA encryption. Now, in previous versions of Panda the
Firewall was not compatable with WPA, but the 2007 version is suppose to be
now, so I have the firewall installed on the computer which is having the
trouble, but not the one which is not having the trouble. (I just have not
updated the version on that computer yet). So, my question is, can the Panda
Security Suite Firewall be causing this interference, and if so why? If it
is, why is it allowing any connection at all? The version which did not
support WPA just did not allow any connectivity when it was installed. I want
to get some idea if it is Panda before going to all the trouble of getting
the special removal tool, removing it, and then installing without the
firewall. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
