Looking in Contact Subfolders

J

James Baker

When I'm organizing my contacts by placing them in subfolders, they
disappear from my address lookup when I press To...

I went into Options to see if I could add the subfolders as a lookup choice,
but it is not available. I did not see a "search in all subfolders" option
either.

I don't see the point in organzing if I lose the "To..." functionality? Is
it possible to still see the contacts that are in subfolders?

Thanks,

James

You need to add any and all contacts folders to your Outlook Address Book
view - you do this by right clicking on each contacts folder, properties,
outlook address book, tick the box.

Personally, I don't recommend using multiple contacts folders - why not keep
everyone in a single folder and use categories to sort, filter, view, etc?
Much easier in my view.

On the Properties dialog of each contacts folder, check the box for Outlook
Address Book to make that folder's contacts visible in the address book.
