Looking for simple database

I am looking for a simple database which will give me about 10 fields and
good reporting power. Is anyone ware of any freeware available in this
area?

If you use OpenOffice 2 you get both, a spreadsheet that you can set up
as a database and a database (but the latter is quite steep to learn, I
am told)

On that last point;

I'd have to say Openoffice's Base is pretty darned easy. What made the
difference for me were the /nicely done/ tutorials at
http://www.digitaldistribution.com/about/lessons/.
