If you use WinXP home edition , get your installation CD and look in
the map VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP for \NTBACKUP.MSI. Yes indeed,... the
back-up tool of Windows is assumed to be such a drag that they don’t
even install it automatically on your system. It is said to be a pain
in the a®se,.. but it works fine, though without any hooters and
bells.
If you use XP Pro, it is allready available in your system work
set,...
Believe me, it is not that bad as some say... and free & compatible...

If you have an older version of Windows or you have an aversion
towards MS software, imho better pay for good back-up soft like ‘True

===== I use " Karens Replicator " from ............
www.karenware.com/powertools/ptreplicator.asp it lets you set a
group of files or folders to backup ,and you can make a shortcut to
backup this group ,
on a schedule , or do like I do , drag the shortcut into your startup
folder and have it backup every time you start your computer =====

For a beginner friend:
Does XP Home include a function to burn a backup to a CD? If so, what
would it be named?
