Hello, recently I had the W32.alcra.b worm. got rid of it, but now when I
logon to my acct on my computer, it takes me to a new user screen with the
windows background and non of my programs or shortcuts. It is as if I am a
new user but it is using my logon. When I go into explorer, I can see my
logon and the new one. the new one just added an extension .MARAJ-M5G3ZYE7O

I am very confused and would love to have any help to get back to my own
logon.

Now, I looked in explorer and I have a new folder called LocalService. It
looks like another user acct but I have not created either one of these!!
What the heck is happening and how do I stop it!!!! PLEASEEEEEE :(

You don't say what action you took to get rid of the virus. However, the behavior you describe occurs when you reinstall Windows XP, and do not format the drive, or correctly perform a "repair" installation. Your shortcuts are all there, but if you did an actual re-install of Windows, you'll have to reinstall the applicaitons, as well. If you have trouble accessing your old files in the Documents and Settings\<your username> folder, you may need to "take ownership" of the old folder.

See Help and Support and search for "take ownership"

HOW TO: Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP

The LocalService folder is normal. It is a valid user account, for the system.

Well, I scanned with Norton, mcafee, and sophos...I got rid of any trace of
the worm, but I did not re-install windows. I didn't re-iinstall anything.
but that problem occurred after I found the worm.
