My computer was setup originally with a "dummmy" userid
in order to install additional memory on my laptop
running Windows XP Home Edition. With the user
administrator utility I changed the username from
the "dummy" userid to my own. The subdirectory in
the "Documents and Settings" directory did not change,
but the login process does accept the new username and
corresponding password. The main difficulty/inconvenience
is that every time I re-start the computer the default
login dialog box displays the old "dummy" userid and I
have to go back to the username box, erase the userid and
key in my new one.....any suggestions? Thanks
